Other potential ideas we can consider this year:
Creation of a social ‘Community gardening team’
WhatsApp swappers & shopping group
Tool amnesty (got spare unloved tools? then donate them to someone)
Pot amnesty (share spare pots with others)
Library of gardening books
Harvest Celebration Party
plus lots more….
All renewing members (excluding newbie members) are expected to occasionally (at least once) help out where possible with club activities. This maybe as simple as putting out tables, handing out leaflets, helping at plant sales etc. The garden club members work cooperatively to help run activities, so all tasks are split amongst the entire membership. Although we appreciate some members maybe unable to volunteer for various reasons so their involvement maybe limited. Eventually rotas will be setup for activities.
